HOW TO MAKE A DREAMY BABY’S BREATH WEDDING CENTERPIECE FOR $15

Directions:

STEP 1 :  Firstly it’s important to have a strong base.  For this project we will be using 1- Wet Green Foam Block, 1-9.5 inch Plastic Garden Dish and 1- 9 inch Glass Cylinder Vase. All of which were purchased from the Dollar Tree. Next trim the Foam Block to fit securely into the Garden Dish, leaving a center circle to place the 9 inch vase.   Also pour 2 1/2 cups of water onto the foam. Most of the water will be absorbed leaving about 1/4 inch at the bottom of the tray.

Add Baby’s Breath

STEP 2:   Next attach 3 Bushels of Baby’s Breath starting next to the base working your way out.  Take your time. The foam is very forgiving.  Apply a few stems then take a step back to see if you like it.  If not re-arrange the stems to your liking.  You got this!

Helpful Tip!  Add the Floral Food packet that comes with most store purchased flowers to the water before pouring it into the dish.  This will keep your Baby’s Breath looking bright and fresh!

Final Step! Lastly, apply Stick-Um Candle Adhesive to the bottom of your 12 inch Tapered Candle and secure it inside of your Glass Cylinder Vase.  Light the candles and transfer  to your reception hall!

  1. Hi there! As long as you utilize the plant food and. make sure that the base is properly watered, then doing this 3 days in advance should be just fine. If you can make it two days before your wedding, that would be even better. Hope this helps!

  2. Hi Anonymous!

It really depends on how far out you purchase them. If you pick them up the night before your event, then no need for refrigeration. More than 24 hours you may want to at least place in water or refrigerate.
