There are so many things you can do with embroidery hoops, including embroidery hoop art, embroidery hoop wreaths and embroidery hoop orbs. This week we will create an embroidery hoop orbs centerpiece with pillar candles and flowers for one of our community members who wanted to add a special twist to their upcoming event!

Embroidery Hoops
Green Moss
Light Green Moss
Moss Runner
4 in Ivory Wax LED Pillar Candle
White Foam Roses
Foam Cube
Green Foam Plant Insert
Black Gloss Paint
Directions:
STEP 1: To create your orbs, use two 12 inch diameter Embroidery Hoops, paint them both with black paint, allow to dry, and then attach at the opposite ends using hot glue to adhere.
TIP: For a more secure hold, use E6000 adhesive.
STEP 2: Now measure your moss runner to fit around your foam cube. Be sure to trim away the excess. Attach foam to moss using hot glue.
STEP 3: To attach your embroidery hoops to your foam cube, take your embroidery lock, make an indention in your foam cube, add hot glue to the indention and then reattach embroidery hoops.
STEP 4: Attach your foam disc to the corner of the foam cube using hot glue. For extra stability, use toothpicks to secure foam disc to foam cube. Now attach loose moss to the top of the cube using hot glue.
STEP 5: Trace Pillar Candle on top of foam disc as you will apply loose moss around your Pillar Candle. Now attach your light green foam moss to your foam disc/cube. Lastly, attach 8-12 Small Cream Roses.
THE FINAL STEP

I’m worried about transportation. That they may break on the way are they pretty sturdy?
Yes, they are very sturdy, especially when you use E6000 Adhesive. Use E6000 Adhesive instead of hot glue. Transport in a large container being sure not to set one on top of the other. Follow these steps and they will arrive to your venue with no problem!
This is beautiful. Im going to modify for my grandmothers 90th birthday party. Im considering, spraying painting the hoops silver, wrapping the base in blue fabric and highlighting it with rhinestone ribbon. Over the top of the base with blue and white flowers and a few green leaves. Keeping one candle in the middle.
Hello, that sounds like a fantastic idea. Please be sure to share the finished results with me!
