It’s time to bring the decorating inside this week as I continue my mission to DIY most of my Christmas decorations this year. This week I’m looking for the perfect table decor for my dining room table.

Christmas is absolutely my favorite time of year! I love all the cheery music, good food, great sales, and spending time with family and friends. I also love to decorate my home for Christmas, I want beautiful Christmas decor but do not want to spend an arm and a leg to get my desired look.

Recently, I took a trip to my local craft stores to stock up on craft supplies and browse the aisles. With Christmas decor out and about I decided to price the Christmas table decor to match my Christmas wreath and Christmas swags. I saw a gorgeous Christmas lantern centerpiece but it was over my budget!

It was priced at $59.00.

Being an avid DIY’er, I knew I could make my own for Under $50, so that is exactly what I did. I purchased most of my supplies from my local Dollar Tree and the remaining items from Amazon and local craft stores.

If you’ve been following my “Deck the halls with DIY” series, you know I have been on this journey for weeks. If you are just joining me, be sure to check out my other DIY Christmas projects by clicking the links below:

How to Make a DIY Christmas Ornament Centerpiece

Directions:

STEP 1: Spray paint your 8 inch and 4 inch wooden candlesticks black.

STEP 2:Trace your LED candle and lantern on your foam discs prior to adding your ornaments.

STEP 3: String 3 of your small ornaments on your floral wire, twist wire to a point and then thread it through your small foam disc.

STEP 4: Repeat Step 3 to create a total of 4 ornament strings that you will attach to your small foam disc.

STEP 5: Now add 8-10 poinsettias. Trim off the excess stems at the bottom of your foam disc and add a touch of hot glue to make sure everything stays in place, then add 1-2 bushels of holiday berries.

STEP 6: Cut your garland ties into 3 inch pieces and add to your foam disc to fill in any spots. Hot glue your small foam disc to your 4 inch wooden candle stick. Then place your LED candle on top.

STEP 7: Repeat steps 4-7 for your 8 inch foam disc. You will place your lantern on your 8 inch foam disc.

THE FINAL STEP

STEP 6: Set the perfect tablescape!
