How to Make Under the Sea Beach Wedding Centerpieces

STEP 1:

Take your 4 inch glass tapered candlestick and apply E6000 to the candlestick rim. Also place your 9 inch vase on top of your candlestick. Furthermore, add a weight such as a book to your 9 inch vase and allow it to dry overnight.

Add  Blue Glitter to Your 9 Inch Vases and Candlestick

STEP 2:

Apply mod podge with a paintbrush to two of your 9 inch vases and your candlestick. Then sprinkle glitter on the areas you covered with mod podge. Continue mod podge and glitter to each piece.

TIP: Rather than cover the entire vase and candlestick with mod podge it’s easier to apply the mod podge and glitter in sections.

Apply E6000 to the rim of your vase that is attached to your candlestick. Place your other 9 inch vase on top. Hold your vase in place for a minute or so to ensure it is secure. Allow it to dry overnight.

Cover the Bottom of Your Foam Disc With Blue Glitter

STEP 3:

Take your paint brush and apply mod podge to your 8 inch foam disc. Sprinkle your blue glitter on the bottom of your foam disc and allow it to dry. Once it is dry apply hot glue to your foam disc and attach it to the rim of your 9 inch vase.

TIP: Spray acrylic spray to all your glitter pieces because this will ensure your glitter is set.

Attach Gem Garland To Your Foam Disc

STEP 4:

Attach gem garland to your foam disc using floral pins. The first strand you will attach will be about 20 inches long. Also attach two 18 inch gem garland strands on each side of your 20 inch gem strand.

Add additional gem garland with each strand being shorter. The shortest gem garland will be on the sides at 4 inches long. Repeat the same pattern on the back so it mirrors the front.

Place Your Foam Half Ball On Your Foam Disc

STEP 5:

Next place your foam half ball over your foam disc. Push your foam half ball into the floral pins that are coming through your foam disc so your foam half ball remains in place.
