A Fiesta Themed Wedding Centerpiece with a touch of whimsy!

This week’s project request came from a bride-to-be who is having a fiesta themed wedding with a touch of whimsy. Wedding vases can be very expensive, so she also requested I do my $3 Dollar Tree Vase Hack for this project to create an 18 inch vase.  Did you catch that savings!  An 18 inch Vase for $3!  In addition to this incredible savings, I will also show you how to make this wedding centerpiece full of color. Perfect for a fiesta themed wedding! Ok, let’s get started!

SUPPLIES:

Flared Glass Pilsner Glasses, 19.25 oz.
Bubble Ball Vase with Rim 3″
Green Styrofoam Ball – 5 3/4”
Gerbera Daisy & Berry Spray
Pink Ranunculus Pick 
Yellow Ranunculus Pick 
Artificial Greenery Plants
Green 7 Big Head Hydrangea Bouquet for Wedding
Pink 7 Big Head Hydrangea Bouquet for Wedding
E6000 Adhesive

How To Make a Whimsical Fiesta Themed Wedding Centerpiece with $3 Dollar Tree Vase Hack

Directions:

STEP 1: To create our $3 Dollar Tree Vase we will be using 2 Flared Pilsner Glasses, 1 Round Glass Floral Bowl, and our trusty E6000 Industrial Strength Glue.  It’s best to assemble this vase in 2 parts.  First turn one of your Pilsner Glasses upside down on the table and spread the E6000 Glue liberally on the bottom of the glass, which is face up.  Place the glass bowl on top and place some sort of weight, a large book (my go to is a dictionary) and allow it to dry for 45 minutes to an hour.  Next apply glue to the rim of the glass bowl and place the second pilsner glass on top.  Hold it in place for about 2 minutes before placing your weight on top, allowing another 45 minutes to an hour to dry.   Voila!  You have created a gorgeous vase for pennies on the dollar!  

Attach the 6 inch Foam Ball to the rim of the Vase Using Hot Glue

STEP 2: Now that our Vase is ready to go we are going to attach an 6 inch Styrofoam Ball to the rim of the Vase using hot glue.

Add the Flowers

STEP 3:  Let the fun begin!  Attach 3-4 Green Hydrangea Heads, 6-8 Pink Hydrangea Heads, 4-6 Pink Ranunculus Blossoms, and  6-8 Yellow Ranunculus Blossoms. Lastly, attach 2 Bushels of Flowering Greenery Stems and  2 Bushels of Gerber Daisies and Berries.  

Helpful Tip! I always use left over leaves from floral bushels. You will be amazed at the different colors and textures you already have available!

I also always keep the left over stems from floral bushes.  They come in handy when I want to switch out shorter stems for longer ones!  Keep those leftovers! Reuse, reuse, and reuse!
