How To Make a Glam Gold Wedding Centerpiece

Directions:

STEP 1: Fill your trumpet vase with your LED battery operated lights and your clear acrylic gems. Begin by filling a small amount of gems followed by your LED battery light cord. Continue this pattern being sure to hold your light cord and gradually add your lights. This is so it doesn’t bunch up at the bottom, the middle, or the top and so your LED can be seen.

STEP 2: To hide your LED light battery pack, I have a little trick that I want to share. Measure your battery pack on the top of your 8” foam ball and trace around it with a marker. Cut out the marked space with a foam cutter so about half of your battery pack fits. You don’t want to put the entire battery pack in your foam ball. The reason being is so you can easily access it to turn it on and off.

Hot glue your foam ball to your vase rim

STEP 3: Apply hot glue to the rim of your trumpet vase and then attach your 8” foam ball to the rim. DO Not, I repeat do not get any hot glue on the battery pack wire. If you do your LED lights may not work. After you have attached your foam ball, place your LED battery pack in the cut-out space in your foam ball at the top.

Add a subtle touch of gold

STEP 4: To add a subtle touch of gold, wrap your trumpet vase using glitter gold tulle. Start by placing a thin smear of hot glue on the backside of your trumpet vase and begin wrapping your tulle around. Wrap your tulle around at a diagonal and gather the tulle as you go.

STEP 5: Gather an additional 12 to 16 inches of your glitter gold tulle to create a bow that you will attach a gold brooch to. Take floral wire and wrap it around the bottom of your bow to keep to in place. Fluff out your bow and then attach the gold brooch to the center. Hot glue your bow to your trumpet vase.

It’s time to add your flowers

STEP 6: Attach 6 to 8 large hydrangea heads to your foam ball. In addition, attach 8-12 small hydrangea heads, 6-8 roses, and 3 bushels of baby’s breath.

More gold? ….yes please

STEP 7: A way to add another touch of gold, is to take a 4 x 4 square of your glitter gold tulle. Roll it on a wooden dowel and then pull it off. Fold the tulle in half and then place a floral pin through your tulle and attach it to your foam ball. Fill in any empty spaces on your foam ball with tea rose buds.
