How To Make a Lamp Centerpiece

Directions:

STEP 1: The first step is to create the frame for our centerpiece. Cut your 36 inch dowel in half and your 12 inch dowel down to 6 inches. Next use your dowel to poke holes in your green foam inserts on the side and on top.

STEP 2: Add your two 3 inch foam discs into each side of your planter with hot glue. In addition, glue down your battery operated lights inside your planter. Be sure not to glue down the side with the on and off switch. Now attach the lights to each of the foam discs securing with a floral pin, add a little hot glue for extra security if needed. Then put it all together.

It’s time to add your spray paint and black glitter

STEP 3: Take all the pieces apart and spray paint two 18 inch wooden dowels and one 6 inch wooden dowel with your pewter gray spray paint.

STEP 4: Cover your green foam inserts and planter with mod podge and then sprinkle  black glitter on both pieces. Spray both pieces with acrylic spray to set your glitter. Now attach your wooden dowel to your green foam insert and planter.

STEP 5: Take apart two of your balloon weights and remove the concrete block. Wrap the sides of your concrete block with metallic velvet ribbon.

Place your concrete block on construction paper. Trace around your concrete block with a black sharpie. Now cut out your circles and hot glue them to the bottom of your concrete block.

STEP 6: Add hot glue to your concrete blocks on the opposite side of your white construction paper. Now hot glue them to the bottom of your foam inserts.

Create your beautiful pearl trim draping

STEP 7: To create your draping, cut your black and silver pearl trim in 12 inch strips. Then hot glue the strips to your ribbon at about a half an inch at a time. Lastly, hot glue your draping to the outer rim of your planter and cut your pearl trim to your desired length.

THE FINAL STEP!

STEP 8: Set the table!
