How To Make DIY Rustic Candle Holder Wedding Centerpieces
Directions:
STEP 1: You can either leave the candle stick the rustic wood or you can distress the candle stick. To distress the candle stick, paint it with cream paint and rub the paint in with a paper towel. This is so you can still see the wood grain underneath the paint.
Make the Base
STEP 2: Next, let’s create the base for the greenery. To do this cut a 4 inch foam disc in half. Apply hot glue to the rim of the wood candle holder and attach one of the 4 inch disc halves to the rim. Do this step to both the small and large candle holders.
Attach the Greenery
STEP 3: Take 6-8 weeping willow stems and attach them to the foam discs. Trim the stems down to your desired length. Next attach 6-8 mini leaf stems, 6-8 mini boxwood bush stems, and 2-4 flocked lamb’s ear stems to the foam disc of each candle holder.
Add the Lighting
STEP 4: For this step you have two different options depending on what your wedding venue allows. If your venue does not allow you to have lit candles, place LED Pillar Candles on your candle holder securing with double sided tape. If your venue allows lit candles, place a fresh linen white pillar candle in a jardin vase and light the candle. Then place the vase on the candle holder. Both of these are great options.
THE FINAL STEPS!
STEP 4: Set the table with both the small and large candle holders.
