How To Make DIY Fresh Flower Rustic Wedding Centerpieces for Under $25
Directions:
STEP 1: Wrap satin ribbon around the rim of the 16 oz mason jar and the 8 oz mason jar. Secure the ribbon with hot glue. Next add river rock about half way up the 16 oz mason jar. Then pour water in the 16 oz mason jar, right under the rim.
Cut the Baby’s Breath Stems
STEP 2: Trim 1 bushel of baby’s breath stems down to 2 inches. Gather the baby’s breath all together and tie a rubber band around the stems similar to a bouquet. Cut additional baby’s breath stems down to an inch. Tie a rubber band around them and place them in the 16 oz mason jar to see if you like how it looks.
Add the White Roses
STEP 3: If you are satisfied with the way it looks, remove the bouquet and then place the small bushel of baby’s breath bouquet upside down in the mason jar. Replace the bigger bouquet and place it right side up in the mason jar. Cut the greenery off your white roses. Then cut three white rose stems down to 6 inches, 5 inches, and 4 inches and place them in your 16 oz mason jar. Add greenery to the mason jar as well.
Create an Illusion Centerpiece
STEP 4: Let’s create an illusion centerpiece with the 8 oz mason jar. The water will look like it’s running out of the mason jar, and onto the table, an illusion of a cascading centerpiece. To start, stuff the 8 oz mason jar with baby’s breath. Next use one of the white roses and cut the stem down to about 2 inches long. Place the rose in a water pick and wrap the rose with baby’s breath and greenery. Tie a rubber band around it. Add additional baby’s breath as needed to cover up the water pick.
Make the Table Numbers
STEP 5: Now to create a rustic table number. Take a stencil and tape it down on both sides to the wood disc. Dab paint on the stencil. Gently, remove the stencil from the wood disc.
Tip: Add very little paint to your paint brush, this way the paint won’t run over.
THE FINAL STEPS!
STEP 6: Put it all together. On the 9 inch wood disc, place your 16 oz mason jar on it. For the illusion effect I mentioned in Step 5, place the 8oz mason jar on it’s side on the wood disc. Lastly, insert a pillar candle in a jardin glass vase and place the vase on the wood disc. Light the candle, add the table number, and set the table!
