How To Make a Crystal Tree Wedding Centerpiece

For Written Instructions and Pictures Continue Reading Below:

STEP 1:  To create the base we are going to use this 15 inch Ornament Stand.  For our project I will use Krylon Silver Foil Spray Paint.  You can use which ever color that fits your vision.  Allow the paint to dry for at least an hour before attaching the base to a 6 inch Styrofoam disc with floral pins.  Be sure to wear your safety googles when cutting the floral pins down.

Cover Styrofoam Ball with Glitter

STEP 2:  Next we are going to cover the 4 inch Styrofoam ball with Extra Fine Diamond  Glitter using Mod Podge.  After allowing the ball to dry, attach it to the top of the stand with hot glue.

Now It’s Time To Create Our Crystal Flower Stems

STEP 3: Cut 18 Gauge Floral Wire into to 6 inch and 3 inch stems.  Wrap 3 Crystal Flowers to the 6 inch floral wire and 2 Crystal Flowers to the 3 inch stems.   Next, we need to create the Crystal Flower Vines by attaching 3 crystal floral stems together.  Finally, lets create a little toupee for our Styrofoam ball with 10 flower stems. Five in front and five in back, attached with 2 floral pins.

Add Crystals

STEP 4:   Attach 10-15 Crystal Floral Branches, 6-8 / 3 inch stems and 8-10 /6 inch stems.  Add 2 crystal vines from the top of the stand to the bottom.

Attach Flowers

STEP 5:   Lastly, attach 6-8 Hydrangea Blossoms and 8-10 MissPlanIt Ivory Roses.

Final Steps!   To complete the look you can add 6 or so single crystal stems to the base.

What a stunning crystal tree wedding centerpiece!    This centerpiece will definitely bring the sparkle and shine to any reception or party!  Always remember,  when every penny counts, count on MissPlanIt.  See you next week!
