The tropics are a magical place that many people love to go to unwind, relax, and enjoy the array of palm trees, the sun, and sandy beaches. Tropical wedding themes are a hot trend perfect for your Summer wedding. Whether you plan to have a destination wedding or bring the tropics to you, you are sure to fall in love with this Tropical Paradise Wedding Centerpiece, inspired by our Community Member Destiny!

Let’s Get Started:

Supplies:

Red Velvety Roses
White Foam Disc
Red Satin Ribbon
8 Inch Tropical Palm Leaf
13 inch Tropical Palm Leaf
20 x 6 Glass Cylinder Vase
E6000 Adhesive
X-acto knife
White Orchid Phalaenopsis
Green Butterfly Orchid
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks

Directions:

STEP 1: Measure the opening of your vase and trim down with your X-acto knife to fit your foam disc if needed.

STEP 2: Add 12 red roses and 8 white calla lilies to your trimmed foam disc.

TIP: Add hot glue to stems prior to inserting any of your flowers and stems into your foam.

STEP 3: Trim off the stem of your 13 inch tropical leaf, exposing the wire and insert into your foam.

STEP 4: Add your 4- 6 inch tropical leaves, 1 white orchid phalaenopsis , and 1 butterfly orchid to your foam.

TIP:  Fill in empty remaining spaces on foam disc with red roses.

STEP 5: Add your cut off stems from your 2-13 inch tropical leaves and 1-butterfly orchid to the bottom of your foam disc. Place your 6 inch leaf into vase and pour water.

NOTE: You will only need a total of 2-13 inch tropical leaves. One you will use to insert into the top part of your foam disc and the other you will only need to cut off the stem to insert into the bottom of the foam disc.

STEP 6: Measure red ribbon around rim of vase, cut and hot glue. For secure hold, add E6000 to bottom of foam disc edges prior to placing on vase rim.
