How to Make Candlestick Holder Wedding Centerpieces

STEP 1:

First, to make a stacked candlestick holder, you will take your margarita glass and flip it over. Then apply E6000 to the bottom of your glass and attach one of your tapered candle stick holders to it.

Place a book on top of your tapered candleholder, this will keep it in place. Now allow it to dry overnight. Once it is dry, place another candleholder on top using E6000 to adhere. Now allow this candleholder to dry for 3 hours. Repeat this step with one additional candleholder and also allow it to dry for another 3 hours.

I know this seems like alot of steps but doing it this way ensures your candlestick holders stay in place.

After everything is nice and dry, your stacked candlestick holder is now completed!

Spray paint your candleholder and margarita glass with gold marbelized spraypaint

STEP 2:

To achieve an antique look, spray paint your entire candlestick holder with gold marbelized spray paint. Then allow your spray paint to dry.

Attach your 8 inch foam ball to your candlestick

STEP 3:

To attach your 8 inch foam ball to your candleholder, first cut out a hole that is the same diameter as your candleholder rim with a foam cutter. Be sure to cut the hole about an inch to an inch and a half deep. Appy hot glue to the rim of your candleholder and to the inside of your foam ball and then place it on top of your candleholder.

TIP: Be careful when adding your hot glue to the hole as your hot glue can drip. If the hot glue drips on the candleholders, you may need to do some touchups with your spray paint!

Decorate Your Foam Ball with Flowers

STEP 4:

This wedding centerpiece will have a cascading effect. Begin by attaching 2 purple hygrangea heads and 6-8 pink hydrangea heads to your foam ball.

Next, attach 6-8 pink peonies or pink roses, 6-8 small purple roses and 6-8 real touch purple roses.

Now attach 2-3 pink orchids by separating the stems and focusing on one side of your centerpiece (I chose the right side). The orchids will be placed to show a cascading effect.

Lastly, attach 2 bushels of navy baby’s breath to your foam ball!
