How to Make 3 in 1 Glam Wedding Centerpieces on a Budget
Directions:
STEP 1: Place a hand full of the crystal fillers in one of the long-stem glass tealight candleholders. Sit the diamond paper weight right on top. Repeat this step with the two other long-stem glass tealight candleholders.
Begin the Second Project By Creating the Petals and base for the Paper Flowers
STEP 2: Trace the 2 inch flower template base, the 2 inch flower template petal and the 1 1/2 inch flower template petal on the back of the blue crinkle scrapbook paper. The 2 inch petals need to be traced 8 times, the flower base 1 time, and the 1 1/2 inch flower petal 6-8 times. Once they are all traced you can cut them out.
Give the Petals a More Realistic Look
STEP 3: Now that you have cut all the petals and the base out, roll the end of the petals around a pencil or wooden dowel to create a more realistic flower look. Next cut the tip about a quarter of an inch then glue the tip one on top of the other. You can use elmer’s glue or hot glue. Repeat this step with each petal.
Create the Paper Flowers
STEP 4: Start by attaching the 2 inch larger petals to the outer rim of the flower base with hot glue. Continue that pattern using the smaller petals until you get to the center. To add some bling to your completed flowers, hot glue rhinestone buttons to the center of the flowers. You will have a total of 3 paper flowers.
The Third Project Involves Filling a 9 inch Vase with Beads
STEP 5: Layer the 9 inch vase with clear gel beads (water beads) followed by ivory and silver beads. Continue this pattern until you get about halfway up the vase. You will need 2 jars of the gel beads and 2 cups of the pearls to fill the 9 inch vase. Once that is completed, place a floating candle on top.
Repeat Step 5 Using the 7 inch Vase
STEP 6: For the 7 inch vase, I am only going to add the pearls to about 3/4 of an inch from the rim. Now fill the vase with water and place the floating candle on top.
Make Bases for the 7 and 9 Inch Vases
STEP 7: Wrap two of the 4.8 inch foam disc with silver ribbon attaching the ribbon with hot glue. Place the discs one on top of the other and then place a 5 inch glass mirror on top.
THE FINAL STEP
STEP 8: Place all the pieces on an 8″ round beveled mirror and set the table!
