How-To Make a Tall Enchanted Rustic Elegant Wedding Centerpiece

Directions:

STEP 1: Spray paint your PVC pipe and 2 of your wooden dowels with brown spray paint. Allow the paint to dry. Once the paint is dry, you will begin creating your secure centerpiece base. Take your PVC pipe and hold it right side up. Place the PVC pipe on your white foam disc and trace around it with a marker. Now cut out your traced circle with a foam cutter.

STEP 2: Apply hot glue to the inside of your flower pot. Then place the foam disc in the flower pot. Push down slightly on the foam disc to ensure it adheres to the flower pot. Next put your PVC pipe in the center cut circle of your foam disc. Add river rocks to your flower pot so your centerpiece is secure and does not fall over.

Use toothpicks to hold your foam cube and disc together

STEP 3: Attach the birch branches to your PVC pipe securing with floral wire.  Only attach your birch branches about a quarter at a time. With each new group of birch branches you attach, place the floral wire about 2 inches above for better security. Once all your branches are attached, trim off the top of your branches.

Spray Paint Your Wooden Dowel

STEP 4: Cut your wooden dowels that you painted earlier in half. Attach 2 of the wooden dowels to your 4” foam ball, then attach 2 of your two-inch foam balls to the ends of the dowels. You should end up with 3 foam balls in a shape that reminds me of Mickey Mouse. Now hot glue your foam ball to the top of your PVC pipe.

STEP 5: I want the twigs that I attach to the foam balls to have a curve. In order to achieve this look, I am going to use a branch wreath that I purchased from the dollar tree and unravel it. After I unravel it, I will cut the branches where it naturally curves and then attach it to my foam balls. When inserting your twigs be sure to think about where you want you flowers to go. The goal is for the branches to intertwine with your flowers.

Prep the top part of your wedding centerpiece for flower placement

STEP 6: Take your gem garland and hot glue pink blossoms from your pink wisteria to the ends. On the other end of your gem garland connect green ornament hooks to them. Now attach 6-8 of your gem garland to your branches.

STEP 7: Attach 6-8 pink wisteria vines to your foam balls. In addition, attach 6-8 bushels of hydrangea blossoms, 6-8 roses, 8-12 tea roses and wildflower stems.

STEP 8: To conclude your wedding centerpiece, attach real touch leaf stems and wild flower stems coming up your natural branches. Finish it off with a petite tea rose and hydrangea blossom.

THE FINAL STEP

STEP 9: Set the table!
